Blackpool Tower - Shopping

Blackpool Shopping

Blackpool has a variety of shopping to suit everyone, from the Hounds Hill Shopping Centre, Bonny Street Market, Fleetwood Market, Cleveleys, and Fleetwood's Designer Outlet Village.

Blackpool Shopping

Shopping in Blackpool consists of two main shopping areas, these are the town centre and Waterloo Road/Bond Street in South Shore.

Blackpool Shopping

The town centre has a huge indore shopping centre called Hounds Hill. Most of the Blackpool town centre shopping areas are pedestrianised and have lots of seats and a number of cafes and bars with outside seatings for the summer sunshine. There are lots of stores from the high street names of Next and Dorothy Perkins the Disney shop and no end of clothing shops.

Bonney street market is an outdoor market between central car park and the back of the sea life centre, it is full of little stalls selling a wide variety of items to buy.

Waterloo Road / Bond Street is in South Shore between the Waterloo Headland and the South Pier just off the promenade. It consists of lots of clothing shops, souvineers shops and all sorts of other intestesting shops to browse, it even has an all year round Christmas shop!

Notarianni Ice Cream

Don't miss Notarianni ice cream. The current shop was opened in 1937 and is at the promenade end of Waterloo road. Unlike most ice creams they still freshly freeze their original recipe Vanilla flavoured ice cream daily, with fresh whole milk from a local farm, hence its lovely soft creamy texture. That's why they have concentrated on selling only their original recipe Vanilla ice cream. They also do lots of toppings and have an ice cream parlour that serve all the old classic sundaes like Knickerbocker glories, Banana splits, Peach Melbas, along with various other sundaes. Plus tea and coffee.

Cleveleys Shopping

Cleveleys shops and cafe

Cleveleys is a tram ride avay from Blackpool and has lots of traditional individual shops. From proper bakers to lovely cafes selling traditional seaside food. Lots of little shops that you will be able to spend an afternoon wandering through and then have a lovely cream cake and a nice cup to tea in one of the cafes.

Fleetwood Shopping

Fleetwood is North of Blackpool and has not only a great indoor market on selected days, a great selection of independant shops plus Freeport. This is a designer outlet shopping center which is open 7 days a week. You can get to Fleetwood via car, bus but in my opinion the best way is to go by tram. The tram travels along the prom then heads inland at Cleveleys before continuing to Fleetwood at it's most northern point. You can get a daily tram and bus pass at some newsagents and on the trams and bueese which means you could visit Cleveleys and Fleetwood in one day!
